Clothing and Food Drive
Dear Durham Region and GTA,
Re: ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT MINISTRIES FOOD BASKET
Our organization will be holding a clothing and a food drive beginning August
15th, through October 15th, 2009 to help support the programs of the Food Bank
of Durham Region, and the GTA. This is an excellent chance to make a
difference in the lives of many as well as making a significant impact on our
community. I encourage you to join this effort to help our less fortunate
neighbors.

The food and funds we raise will help in Durham Region and the GTA to supply
food to the over 240 partner agencies in our community. These agencies consist
of organizations such as food pantries, soup kitchens, senior centers, churches,
and other non profit organizations that are working to fight hunger in our
community. Women and Men, as well as youth shelters across Durham Region
and GTA any surplus will be given to the street people and homeless as these
individuals have very little or nothing to speak of and I know they certainly
appreciate a helping hand and a little kindness when they have the opportunity to
receive it.

Hunger does not discriminate in fact it effects the most vulnerable is our

· 5% of those served by the Food Bank are under 5
· 8% of those served by the Food Bank are elderly
. 41% of households have at least one working adult
. 36% of households have at least one member in poor health

Dear Friends, Family, and Acquaintances,
I am sending this e-mail to all of you because I am ready to get your assistance in my personal
campaign through ANNOYING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT MINISTRIES FOOD BASKET clothing, and food campaign.
With the attachments that come along with this e-mail everything is self-explanatory and I am hoping that you are willing to pass this information along to anyone across Durham Region and into the GTA as this is a very much-needed campaign especially after what has happened over the last few months with closure of manufacturers in the automobile industry, and other people families who are feeling the impact and there are numerous amounts of people whether they maybe Low Income families, Middle-Class Income families, Elderly people that are receiving their Old Age Pensions, other people and families receiving General Welfare, and others on Ontario Disability Support Program (O.D.S.P.)
Even in saying that there are still many people whether they maybe Street People and/or Homeless People for one reason or another even with the current food banks and programs and other agencies that are up and running in Durham region and throughout the GTA.
There are many numerous people for one reason or another that have slipped through the current systems and ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT MINISTRY OF FOOD BASKET has been working with the use of their programs and agencies that we are putting our lot of focus on the street people and/or the homeless as there seems to be more of them beginning to surface and we are hoping to be able to have a better grip on this before it escalates and creates more of a problem here within Durham Region.
For this reason I am turning to you in the hopes of getting your assistance to get this message and information out to as many people as humanly possible and if you have any other suggestions and recommendations please let me know as I can use all the help that I can get. I think it's only fair to try to involve as many people and City Officials and other Community Associates to come together and give a helping hand to put an honest effort to try and rectify this problem as soon as possible for the sake of our cities, communities, and our Residential areas and our Public Parks, and Lake Shore Beaches that are accessible to everyone across Durham region.

WELCOME TO THE HOLY SPIRIT MINISTRIES FOOD BASKET
Mission Statement
Serving Durham Region and the GTA children, youth and adults in need through the model of Jesus Christ, bringing them relief for the present and hope for the future.
Our Statement of Faith
Bible:
We believe the Bible to be the complete Word of God; that the sixty-six books, as originally written, comprising the Old and New Testament were verbally inspired by the Spirit of God and were entirely free from error; that the Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice and the true basis of Christian Union.
God:
We believe in one God, Creator of all, holy, sovereign, eternal, existing in three equal Persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Christ:
We believe in the absolute and essential deity of Jesus Christ, in His eternal existence with the Father in pre-incarnate glory, in His virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, triumphant ascension, mediatorial ministry and personal return.
The Holy Spirit:
We believe in the absolute and essential deity and personality of the Holy Spirit Who convinces of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; Who regenerates, sanctifies, illuminates and comforts those who believe in Jesus Christ.
